Objectives :
- Normalise spinal mobility
- Improve the quality of spinal movement
- Reduce pain
- Increase the patient’s functional capacity
- Teach the principles of ergonomics
- Facilitate everyday tasks
The aim of the DBC® Neck programme is not only to increase the mobility and muscle strength of the spine, but also to improve the involuntary motor control responsible for activating the various structures required to carry out spinal movements.
Duration
The treatment comprises 24 sessions with 2 sessions per week each lasting 60 minutes.
Prescription
DBC® Neck is intended only for patients suffering from chronic back pain for which other forms of traditional treatment have proved ineffective.
Your GENERAL PRACTITIONER must specify the following information on the prescription:
DBC® Neck + diagnosis
24 sessions
code T 203
Pathological schemes
- Rheumatic disorders
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Non-specific pain
- Post-traumatic syndrome
- Narrowing of the spinal canal

Maintenance sessions
At the request of your general practitioner, the programme may be followed at a reduced level of frequency in order to maintain the benefits of previous treatment.
Frequency: 2 sessions/month
Code : T 205
Assessment
The patient’s condition at the start of treatment and his/her progress during therapy are assessed. This evaluation lasts 90 minutes and is carried out twice, once at the start and once at the end of the DBC® Neck programme.
- Questionnaires: give an overview of the patient’s condition and evaluate the intensity of pain
- Spine function evaluation test: a clinical examination assessing muscular, neurological and functional condition
- Spinal profiling: measures spinal mobility
Treatment
A personal treatment plan is drawn up based on the patient’s pathology and the results obtained with the evaluation protocol.
Each session lasts 60 minutes and comprises :
- Dynamic exercises on DBC® Neck machines: rotation, extension, adduction of the shoulder blades, shoulder work
- Relaxation: Following the use of each DBC® Neck machine, exercises to relax the group of muscles which has just been strengthened.
- Functional exercises: the patient is taught a programme of exercises so that training can be continued at home
- Conseils ergonomiques : Essentiels pour apprendre les positions correctes à adopter dans l'exécution des différents gestes de la vie courante
