Duration
The treatment comprises 24 sessions with 2 sessions per week each lasting 60 minutes.
Prescription
DBC® rehabilitation must be prescribed by the patient’s general practitioner. The prescription is valid for 1 year. DBC® rehabilitation may start as soon as the patient receives the approval of his/her health insurance. In order to keep the waiting period as short as possible and to facilitate organisation of the DBC® programme, the patient may make an appointment with the physiotherapy service as soon as he/she receives the prescription.

At the request of your general practitioner, the programme may be followed at a reduced level of frequency in order to maintain the benefits of previous treatment.

Assessment
Before personalised treatment can commence, an assessment is carried out by a physiotherapist. This assessment is repeated in the middle and at the end of the treatment (the results are sent to the general practitioner) and comprises the following elements :
- Specific questionnaire
- Medical history
- Intensity of pain (VAS scale)
- Frequency of pain
- Restrictions in everyday life (ASES scale)
- Functional examination
- Visual and manual evaluation
- Measurement of passive and active mobility in accordance with post-operational contra- indications
- Measurement of muscle strength
- Objective parameters
Mobility and rotational force are measured using a special DBC® shoulder rehabilitation device.
Treatment
As a general rule, each 60 minute session comprises the following elements :
- General and specific warm-up
- Exercises on DBC® shoulder machines:
- External and internal shoulder rotations
- Stabilisation of the shoulder blades
- Flexion, extension, abduction and adduction of the shoulder
- Exercises on DBC® neck machines in case of pathologies associated with spine extension and rotation
- Muscular relaxation exercises
- Functional exercises to do at home
- Ergonomic advice

- Advanced rheumatic pathologies
