Just a few miles from Freiburg im Breisgau lies Kaiserstuhl, the warmest and sunniest region in Germany. The volcanic rock from this region, known as  "Phonolith," is 16 million years old.

A special process is used to reduce this rock to a microscopic powder after it has been heated to ca. 400°C. The powder thus produced is called "VULCANITE FANGO".

VULCANITE FANGO has good absorption capacities and captures secretions on the skin.
This powder is mixed with water, to a natural cataplasm which retains the heat in a constant, lasting manner.
Thanks to its thermo-physical properties, the mud poultice cools down very slowly, thereby providing an intense heat input and even conductivity over the entire surface of the poultice.

VULCANITE FANGO wraps are particularly effective against
Muscle, ligament, tendon, back, neck and joint pain, rheumatism, sciatica, lumbago, herniated discs, arthritis, and tendonitis.

Open wounds, inflammatory or eczematous skin deformations or a tendency to haemorrhages.

and their therapeutic effects

Fang wraps are for single use only.
The therapeutic properties of Natural Fango vary depending on the temperature of use:

At low temperatures (15-20°C), VULCANITE FANGO has anti-inflammatory and decongestant benefits that soothe muscle and joint pain.
It is particularly recommended for  rheumatic diseases with inflammatory flare-ups.

Applied at a temperature of 43-50°C, VULCANITE FANGO activates the blood circulation by promoting the relaxation of muscle fibres and connective tissue. It has a positive effect on joint ailments, rheumatism and musculoskeletal disorders. It also strengthens the immune system through the release of beta endorphin and ACT hormones.

These are other forms of VULCANITE FANGO therapy.
They are used for degenerative joint diseases, chronic polyarthritis and static problems (flat or valgus feet).
